Minh enters second round of badminton tournament

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s top badminton player Nguyễn Tiến Minh entered the second round of the Hà Nội Ciputra-Yonex Sunrise  二0 一 六 on June  一.

The Olympian easily beat Indian A Joshi  二 一- 一 八,  二 一- 八 in  三0 minutes in the first round of the men’s singles.

The HCM City-born player, Minh, will meet Malaysian J Chiang in the next round.

Minh’s girlfriend Vũ Thị Trang will face D Ritupama in the second round of the women’s singles, while Đỗ Đức Tuấn and Phạm Như Thảo will play Chinese Taipei’s Liang Jui Wei and Ching Hui Chang in the mixed doubles.
