Minh drops to No 52 in world rankings

HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese top badminton player Nguyễn Tiến Minh dropped five places to world No  五 二 in the latest rankings, the sport’s governing body has announced.

The top spot went to Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia. The runners-up were Jan O Jorgensen of Denmark and Chen Long of China.

HCM City-born player Minh’s best achievement to date is a bronze medal at the World Badminton Championship in  二0 一 三.

Minh just won the Ciputra Hà Nội-Yonex Sunrise Việt Nam International Challenge title, held in Hà Nội in March. — VNS
